METRODOME DISTRIBUTION ACQUIRES 'I AM LOVE'

AIM-listed distributor METRODOME DISTRIBUTION and Rialto Distribution have partnered with The Works International to acquire UK, EIRE & Australia/ NZ rights for Luca Guadagnino’s magnificent “I am love” (“Io sono amore”). For Metrodome the deal was negotiated by CEO Peter Urie, General Manager-Distribution Sara Frain and Head of Acquisitions – James Brown and with Carl Clifton, Managing Director of The Works International.

Metrodome Distribution picks up this title following outstanding reviews and strong festival buzz. It closely follows their recent acquisition of Venice winner “Lebanon” which has since gone on to win the top prize of the festival.

“I am love”, directed by Luca Guadagnino, depicts the portrayal of a wealthy Milanese family, on the cusp of change and struggling to hold it’s place against new challengers. Guadagnino gives us an intimate insight into the secret loves and passions of their cultivated world. His cast includes the Oscar winning actress Tilda Swinton in what some critics are already billing as the “performance of a lifetime”. The other cast include Edoardo Gabbriellini, Pippo Delbono, Alba Rohrwacher and Marisa Berenson.

METRODOME DISTRIBTUION will release “I am love” in English cinemas in Spring 2010.
