METRODOME ACQUIRES UK RIGHTS FOR UK & EIRE FOR FRENCH DUO ‘ANYTHING FOR HER’ & ‘LEAVING’

AIM-listed distributor METRODOME has acquired UK & Eire rights for the French features ‘ANYTHING FOR HER’ and ‘LEAVING’. For METRODOME the deals were negotiated between CEO Peter Urie, General Manager Distribution Sara Frain and Head of Acquisitions James Brown, with Elle Driver for ‘ANYTHING FOR HER’ and Pyramide International for ‘LEAVING’ in a pre-buy deal.

Thriller ‘ANYTHING FOR HER’ stars the acclaimed Diane Kruger as a wife wrongly accused of murder, alongside Vincent Lindon as the husband who hatches a desperate plan to break her out of prison. 'LEAVING' stars the multi award-winning Kristen Scott Thomas, in her first French-speaking role since ‘I Loved You So Long’. Scott-Thomas stars alongside Ivan Attal and Sergi Lopez as a wife tempted into infidelity.

The acquisitions continue the French cinema trend at METRODOME. The company's 2009 slate already includes ‘MARK OF AN ANGEL’, ‘THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE’ and ‘SERAPHINE’ – all of which have found theatrical success in their home territory.

General Manager Sara Frain of METRODOME says:

“With the right foreign language title the UK cinema audience turns out in force. These two additions to our 2009 slate continue METRODOME'S commitment to quality French cinema."

METRODOME will release ‘ANYTHING FOR HER’ in June 2009 and 'LEAVING' later this year.
